On 01.09.2010 the fusion of the companies ROMEX^® EXPORT Ltd (sale of industrial floor coatings abroad) & ROMEX^® Modern Building Materials Ltd (sale of industrial floor coatings Germany) took place. Both companies represent the same products which means in future, operational procedures can be simplified and synergy effects can be taken advantage of, in order to look after our customers as well as possible.

The company is now called:

ROMEX^® MB Ltd

– MB stands for Modern Building Materials - and this primarily means industrial floor coatings. The same people as always will look after you, it is only the company name that has changed.

ROMEX^® Information day in Kaluga/Russia

On 07.10.2009, ROMEX^® held an information day in the rooms of the local chamber of commerce in Kaluga / Russia. The subject of this information day was all of ROMEX^®’s products and their uses. Information on ROMEX^® coatings and sealants that can be applied using the time and money saving method of airless spraying to apply to floors, walls and ceilings, was one of the main focuses of this event.

The organisation of this information day was done by the ROMEX^® PARTNER Praim-T OOO from Kaluga, who has also carried out the laying work of more than 30.000 m² of ROMEX^® coatings on concrete and steel platforms in various forms for the Volkswagen project in Kaluga to the fullest satisfaction of the contractor. ROMEX^® Floor and wall coatings using the airless spray method

By using the airless spray method, large surface area floor and wall coatings – even overhead coatings! – can be applied quickly and cost effectively. ROMPOX^® 1009 Open to steam diffusion sealant made by ROMEX^® can be applied using this method for sealants and multi-layer thin coatings.

Floors, walls, ceilings and angled rooms can be easily and efficiently coated/sealed using this method. Large surface areas, fast working, easiest application, quick drying and thus huge savings in time, are the main advantages of application using this method, compared to the usual method of fur roller application. A visually attractive appearance is achieved, as there are no roller marks, and material consumption is also less than with the usual coating methods.

ROMPOX^® 1107 ESD Coating undergoes serious testing – read the test report here:

The research institute for polymer building materials Dr. R. Stenner GmbH was given the contract by ROMEX^® to test the mechanical and electrostatic properties of the coating system ROMPOX^® 1107.

The tests consisted of:

• Resistance to earth and earthing of persons acc. to norm DIN EN 61340
  
• Bending tensile and compressive strength acc. to DIN EN 196-1
  
• Elasticity module acc. to DIN 1048-5
  
• Abrasion strength acc. to DIN EN ISO 5470-1

ROMEX^® yearly convention 2008 in Belek, Turkey:

The ROMEX^® yearly convention 2008 took place in Belek, Turkey from 15th – 19th February 2008. Partner firms from 15 countries took part. The main topics of this year’s convention were new products such as the WHG coating acc. to §19 g WHG („Wasserhaushaltsgesetz“ = water household law), all conductive floor coatings (ESD and EA coatings) as well as primers and especially coloured sealants based on epoxy resin and polyurethane.

On 26th – 28th November 2007 the third ROMEX^® Product training course in 2007 took place in Euskirchen. 12 ROMEX^® partners together with a total of 40 participants from 8 countries, successfully took part in this product training course. ROMEX^® at VIETBUILD from 27th March – 1st April 2007 in Hanoi/Vietnam:

Lead-managed by the local ROMEX^® partner Industrial Paint Company Ltd. in Hanoi, ROMEX^® was also present at the international building exhibition VIETBUILD. At the fair stand, trade visitors were informed on all questions on industrial floor coatings. Within the scope of this exhibition, an expert seminar titled “ROMEX^® self-levelling epoxy resin coatings and their application“ was held by ROMEX^® and broadcast on TV in Vietnam. ROMEX^® has been present on the Vietnamese market since 2003 and is able to offer all products from the delivery and service programme there.

The yearly convention 2007 for the ROMEX^® partners of ROMEX^® EXPORT Ltd. took place in Olhos d´ Agua, Portugal from 14.02. – 18.02.2007

The main topics for this year’s convention were:

The one layer systems ROMPOX^® 1107 ESD Coating and ROMPOX^® 1102 EA Coating 10⁹ Ω were highlighted. Sample surfaces were laid using all the ESD and EA coating systems and sealants and they were then subjected to the following tests:

• Measuring of resistance to earth acc. to DIN EN 61340-4-1
• System check “human - shoe - floor“ acc. to DIN EN 61340-5-1 / 5-2
• “Walking Test“, measuring of body tension acc. to DIN EN 61340-4-5 + DIN EN 61340-5-1 / 5-2

All tests were completed with sensational, constant values well within the required norms.

Headquarters will be at the same address as ROMEX^® AG. Rolf Meurer is Managing Director. The company’s capital is 100.000 € and the sales territory encompasses the countries worked by ROMEX^® AG as well as practically the whole world, whereby the Eastern European countries, central Asia and Asia are at the forefront. We wish this new business venture much success.
